The Yeu-Noirmoutier Project is a joint venture between Ocean Winds, Banque des Territoires, Sumitomo, and Vendée Energie.
Located in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coasts of the Yeu and Noirmoutier islands, the offshore wind farm has an installed capacity of 488 MW. This is enough renewable energy to power the equivalent of close to 800,000 people annually — roughly the entire population of the Vendée department.
Construction of the project draws on a strong industrial footprint, with 95% of Tier 1 suppliers based in Europe and over 50% sourced directly from France. This includes turbine components manufactured in Le Havre and pre-assembly works in Saint-Nazaire, highlighting the project’s close integration with the national and regional supply chain. Throughout the construction phase, over 1,500 direct and indirect jobs have been mobilized — including approximately 1,000 in Le Havre — contributing to the development of France’s offshore wind industry and its long-term employment base.
